MONTEREY, CA – August 29, 2024 – The much-anticipated Monterey County Fair opens its gates today, August 29, from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, inviting the community to enjoy a day filled with fun, entertainment, and celebration. Opening Day of the Monterey County Fair is sponsored by Aspire Health. In appreciation of our community’s heroes, all military personnel, veterans, and seniors 62 or above will receive free admission today. This offer is a token of
gratitude for their service and contributions. Valid ID must be shown for the admission offer to apply.
Guests can purchase tickets at Gates 3 or 5 or on our website. Current ticketing pricing is reflected on our website or at the gates. Presale ticket sales concluded with a 12% increase in sales compared to the 2023 presale ticketing period. The day will culminate in a thrilling performance by country-rock sensation Uncle
Kracker at 7:30 PM on the Payton Stage. This concert is free with fair admission, making it an event you won’t want to miss.
