The Monterey County Fair was recognized with numerous awards at the 2026 Western Fairs Association (WFA) Convention, held January 18–21 in Reno, Nevada, underscoring the Fair’s excellence in marketing, innovation, operations, and community engagement.

The Monterey County Fair received multiple first-place awards, including top honors for Public Relations Campaign, Overall Fair Marketing Campaign, Fair Schedule, Souvenir Item, Carnival, Exhibits, People at the Fair, Interim Event, and Special Event Logo. The Fair was also awarded Best Use of Artificial Intelligence, recognizing innovative applications of AI in marketing and content creation.

In advertising categories, the Fair earned first-place awards for Single Television Ad, Television Ad Series, Radio Ad Series, Foreign Language Radio Ad, Single Social Media Ad, Social Media Ad Series, Foreign Language Social Media Ad, and Self-Produced Video, highlighting a comprehensive and successful multimedia strategy. Additional honors included placements in Food and Beverage, Entertainment and Grounds Acts, Commercial Vendor Booth, Food Concession Stand, Animals, First Responders, and Theme-
Based Promotions.
