MONTEREY, CA. (Aug. 23, 2022) — Winners of the 2022 Monterey County Fair’s Coloring Contest for children in four age groups have been announced.
The Fair received more than 200 entries in this year’s context. Winners in each category receive a $25 Fair Gift Card valid for fair admission tickets.
Ten runner-up winners in each category will be given participation ribbons. In addition, entries will be displayed in the Junior Art building during the Fair, Sept. 1-5. Kid’s Day this year is Sept. 2, and the 2022 theme is “Wool Meet Ewe at the Fair.”
Age categories were:
1. Pre-K to Kindergarten
2. 1st to 2nd Grade
3. 3rd to 4th Grade
4. 5th grade and above
Winners in each division are: Aimee, Division 2, first place; Dietrich, Division 2, second place; Emily, Division 3, first place; Haley, Division 4 ,first place; Max, Division 1, first place; Melanie, Division 3, second place; Rocco, Division 1, second place; and Sienna, Division 4, second place.
