MONTEREY, CA. (March 4, 2022) — The Monterey County Fair Announces its Coloring Contest and a call for young readers.

Coloring Contest:
The 2022 Monterey County Fair’s Coloring Contest is now open and the winner will receive a Family Fun Pack of 4 tickets for fair admission tickets. In addition, entries will be displayed in the Junior Art building during the Fair, Sept. 1-5. Kid’s Day this year is Sept. 2, and the 2022 theme is “Wool Meet Ewe at the Fair.”

Age Categories:
- Pre-K to Kindergarten
- 1st to 2nd Grade
- 3rd to 4th Grade
- 5th grade and above
Rules:
- Deadline for entries is Thursday, August 11, 2022. Grand Prize winners will be contacted by e-mail. Entries cannot be returned. Entries will be displayed in the Home Arts Building during the fair. No purchase necessary. Prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash, goods, or services. Entry to this contest constitutes the winner’s agreement for use of name for publicity by any of the co-promotional partners.

Calling all Young Readers:
The Monterey County Fair is offering a special reward to Monterey County readers! This is a great opportunity to get that required summer reading done and earn a reward at the same time! Students in 1st and 2nd grades can read picture books, but
all other grades must read chapter books. To enter, read the required number of books
listed and fill out the entry form. (attached)
A parent or guardian must sign the entry form and return it to the Monterey County Fair, 2004 Fairgrounds Road, Monterey, CA 93940 or email form toentry@montereycountyfair.com by August 11th. The Monterey County Fair will send a FREE child (12 and under) fair admission ticket to be used at the Monterey County Fair any day September 1-5, 2022. The winner may pick up their ribbon in the Home Arts Building! 022
Limit: One entry per person due by August 11, 2022.
