The Monterey County Fair is calling on community members to be part of one of the area’s most beloved annual traditions. The 2025 Monterey County Fair will take place Thursday, August 28 through Monday, September 1, and the Fair is currently seeking volunteers to help bring this year’s event to life. Volunteer opportunities begin Sunday, August 17 and continue through Tuesday, September 2, covering a wide range of roles including exhibit setup, judging assistance, guest services, building hosts, and more.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to get involved, give back, and be part of the vibrant energy that defines fair week,” said Colton Kersey-Lopez, Deputy Manager of the Monterey County Fair & Event Center. “Whether you’re a student looking for community service hours or a longtime fair fan wanting to lend a hand, we’d love to have you join us.”

A Volunteer Orientation will be held on Thursday, August 7 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Seaside Room at the Monterey County Fairgrounds. All volunteers are encouraged to attend. Entry is through Gate 5. Additionally, volunteers will have access to free Fair admission for the day of their shift and a one-day parking pass valid for any paid Fair parking lot.
