The Monterey County Fair & Event Center Welcomes New Employee to the Team

MONTEREY, CA. – March 16, 2023 – The Monterey County Fair & Event Center (MCFEC) is pleased to announce that Skylar Stamey has joined the MCFEC team as the new Events Coordinator, bringing a seasoned background in communications and event management.

Skylar graduated from University of Hawaii at Manoa with a B.S. in Communications, and held various event management and marketing positions for the Golden State Theatre in Monterey, Catalyst Club in Santa Cruz, and Blue Note Hawaii in Honolulu.

Skylar will take on the role of managing all MCFEC event bookings, including weddings, family gatherings, corporate events, concerts, and festivals.

Having grown up in an artistic family, Skylar naturally developed a passion for music and dance at the age of 4, and still carries that passion with her today. “I look forward to working with a variety of artists, families, and groups as they plan their ideal event at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center,” said Skylar Stamey, Event Coordinator of Monterey County Fair & Event Center. “It’s always been a dream to live in Monterey and now I get to pursue my passion while enjoying the beauty of the Central Coast.”
